Silence Awareness Existence is a thematic, transdisciplinary residency program offered by Arteles Creative Center in Hämeenkyrö, Finland. The program runs during the winter of 2027, with three 29‑day periods in January, February and March. It welcomes artists, writers, designers, researchers, scientists, philosophers, psychologists and other creative minds who resonate with the theme of silence, awareness and existence. Participants receive private bedrooms, studio spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, a traditional wood‑burning sauna, a meditation hall with voluntary sessions, limited internet access, a wide range of creative tools and equipment, a curated library, on‑site staff assistance, two residency cars for local travel, and pick‑up service for arrivals and departures. The residency emphasizes inner development, mindfulness, and solitary contemplation, featuring two silent days per week and scheduled meditation. No application fee is required; a regular fee of €1950 per month applies, with a financially supported fee of €1350 for eligible applicants. Restrictions

Applicants must be at least 24 years old, hold a university degree (BA) or equivalent experience, apply individually (duos submit separate applications), no children or overnight guests, no pets, and be able to engage with meditation and silent days; sound artists may only work with headphones.
