Open Call. Pompeii Research Residency for Lithuanian Artists and Researchers invites one Lithuanian contemporary artist or researcher, who is a member of the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LIAA), to develop a research project inspired by Pompeii’s archaeological, historical, and cultural context. The residency will take place for one week between September and December 2026, with dates to be agreed upon after selection. Participants will have full access to the Pompeii Archaeological Park, its specialised library, photographic archives, and internal research resources, and will work closely with archaeologists, conservators, art historians, and technical staff. The programme covers international travel, accommodation at the park’s facilities, and a per diem. Applications must be submitted in English as a single PDF by 15 August 2026, including a CV, portfolio, research proposal (max 2 pages), and motivation letter (max 1 page). The selection committee comprises representatives from the park and LIAA. The residency is part of the Lithuanian Culture in Italy 2025–2026 programme, implemented by the Lithuanian Culture Institute in cooperation with the Lithuanian Embassy in Italy.
