Künstlerresidenz auf Vashon
Über Diese Gelegenheit
Vashon Artist Residency provides artists with a self‑directed residency on Vashon Island in Washington State, offering private bedrooms, shared bathrooms, a communal kitchen, and dedicated workspaces (private studios or writing desks). Residencies last either two or four weeks, with ten sessions per year and up to seven artists per cohort. The program welcomes practitioners from visual, literary, performing, media, and interdisciplinary fields. Applicants must be at least 21, not enrolled full‑time in a degree program, and able to read and speak English. The call is open worldwide, except for artists who completed the 2026 residency cycle. A sliding‑scale residency fee (full fee $1,275 for two weeks, $2,550 for four weeks) is supplemented by a non‑refundable $25 application fee (waivers available). Access stipends, travel, and material stipends are offered to reduce financial barriers. Residents receive meals (at least two per day), access to a range of studio facilities (painting, printmaking, etching, glass, etc.), and universally designed, accessible housing. Application opens July 1, 2026 and closes August 19, 2026. Selected artists are notified by late October 2026.
