Leeds Arts University, the only specialist arts university in the North of England, is recruiting a Senior Lecturer to join its BA (Hons) Filmmaking course. The role involves leading, developing, delivering, supporting and assessing film theory and filmmaking practice modules across the programme. Teaching responsibilities include lectures, seminars, studio and location‑based workshops, peer reviews and individual tutorials, as well as providing pastoral support. The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject (or be willing to obtain one within two years) and a postgraduate teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain one within three years), and demonstrate specialist filmmaking skills. The position is full‑time, permanent, with a salary of £44,731 per annum, based primarily at the university campus in Leeds, West Yorkshire, with a hybrid working model.
