The African Futures Institute (AFI) is offering a month‑long Nomadic African Studio residency for artists based in Africa. Selected fellows will relocate to Fez, Morocco, where they will participate in a collective studio, seminars, workshops and public conversations led by artists, architects and activists. AFI covers travel to Fez, accommodation, all meals, tuition and field‑trip costs; applicants are responsible for visa fees, insurance and personal expenses (estimated at around $200 USD for the month). The open call is free to apply and is open until 03 August 2026. Eligibility is limited to artists residing in Africa who are able to move to Fez for the program period. The call appears to be part of an annual series; however, AFI’s 2026 programme page lists the location as Accra, Ghana (20 July – 14 August 2026), indicating a possible location change for this edition.
