Perswasian is a Toronto-born singer, rapper, songwriter, performer, and dancer proudly representing Scarborough. She calls herself a “Scarlem Baddie.” Blending pop, hip-hop, R&B, trap-soul, and rap, her latest singles are the summer-pop track “No Air” about a crush finally giving you a chance and “Scarlem,” inspired by her Scarborough root, which will include videoed skits. Later this year, she will drop her next EP, Get It How You Live It. “My most exciting project/song for the summer is ‘Scarlem,’ as I will come with many visuals leading to release,” says Peswasian. Influenced by her Filipina heritage and personal experiences, she says, “My music covers themes of self-discovery, what and where I come from, confidence, relationships, and personal journey/growth.” Perswasian released her debut album, Overthinking , in 2020, followed by EPs, Popular Loner in 2022 and Out of This World in 2024. Her singles include 2026’s “Britbrat,” celebrating girl confidence, 2024’s “Forgiveness” about healing and vulnerability, and 2022’s Gifted,” reflecting on embracing her talent. Known for being kind-hearted yet bold, Perswasian brings a unique mix of her humour, sass and true authenticity to everything she does.
